Belichick, Reid... then who for Canton?

With Mike Tomlin resigning today and the Ravens firing John Harbaugh, I'm curious to hear who everyone views as the next head coach for Canton, removing Bill Belichick and Andy Reid. Clark Judge asked historians in 2023 which active coach would we induct other than Reid, and our answer (including my answer) was Tomlin. My #1 head coach for Canton after Belichick and Reid is Tom Coughlin.

Beyond Coughlin and Tomlin, I'm not big into Payton, Carroll or Arians. I could go either way on John Harbaugh. Going back a bit, I'm in for Mike Holmgren, and I would put Shanahan and Seifert a bit above John Harbaugh, though I could also go either way.

Holmgren will probably be next but I think Shanahan has a shot as well. Harbaugh will be back, hopefully with GB but they may stick with LaFleur. Tomlin may take a year off and be back in 2027. Would he be interested in NY, Atl, Mia or GB this year?

If Denver blew out the Bills, could they move on from McDermott?
Doubtful though.

Steelers fan here. I'm not convinced that tomlin belongs in the hall of fame the only way I would be convinced would be is if he would win another super bowl and get at least 200 wins.

Wow, you dont think going to two SBs and never having a losing record wont give him a pass Robert? I think he will coach for the 2027 season, though Miami and GB might be enticing jobs this year?

I admire Tomlin for walking away ... he knows he can coach but had to be disappointed that his teams couldnt meet a standard of excellence that the fans deserved. He probably was hoping for a hot streak at the end of some seasons but the team mostly petered out ... did he drive them too hard in practice? Were the players too willing to accept mediocrity, or just too outcoached on playoff gamedays?

id say more than anything Brian it was mainly like you said being outcoached on game days and making some of the most mind numbing decisions that baffled me for years plus he kept saying the standard is the standard which i have no idea what that even meant

Seriously? Tomlin is just as good, if not a superior coach to Bill Cowher, and Cowher is a HOFer. Tomlin has MORE wins and a HIGHER win percentage than Cowher.
