Re: 2025 All-Pro First Team and Second Team
I mentioned this team at length on Pro Football Journal ...
Stafford and Maye will battle for MVP, athough I would vote for McCaffrey, as AP has now added a second, All-Purpose RB to both teams. Robinson got selected to both teams, with Gibbs and Achane missing out on 2nd team all-purpose. Taylor and Henry were also omitted despite being #1 and #4 in overrall TDs scored.
Dont agree with Pitts being 2nd Team TE, though John Turney did.
He only scored 1 TD prior to the wk 15 showdown with TB, where he scored 3 of his 5 TDs. He did surge late and helped the team win their last four games, which stayed in voters minds.
Chase was voted 1st team WR but Adams, St Brown and Pickens had more impact, I believe.
The Edge rushers on both teams are a mess. You had Anderson and Parsons getting the nod on 1st team with Garrett as the DE.
Is Parsons considered an OLB selection? On the second team its Burns at Edge with Hunter or Hutchinson at DE. Is one of them considered at OLB?
Pitre didnt make it as a slot corner/safety but James did. Very close. Surprised that Surtain was 2nd team after being DPOY last year?
Simmons was great at DT/DI but Murphy missed out for Seattle.
Glad Burns and Hunter made these teams.

Is Pitts a good blocker?Brian wolf wrote: ↑Sat Jan 10, 2026 2:41 pm I mentioned this team at length on Pro Football Journal ...

Also, one player who I think would have gotten some consideration for this would be Jared Verse of the Rams at linebacker.
Then again not sure who of Llyod, Jones, Brooks, and Campbell I’d remove if any of them.

Verse disappoints me. Yes, he gets the pressures but cant bring the QBs, down. He doesnt want to end up being compared to Clowney, who could also stop the run. Good year for Kobe Turner as well but not like his rookie year. What happened with Fiske?

I remember Clowney on the Seahawks in 2019. He only has three sacks, but I remember him drawing a lot of double teams, and stopping runs on his side well.Brian wolf wrote: ↑Sat Jan 10, 2026 4:52 pm Verse disappoints me.
