I don't understand them keeping Glenn if he's just going to get fired next year at 1-6 or at the latest Black Friday 2027. The team outright quit and checked out. Capable players got worse. Jettisoning Rodgers and bringing in Fields was a very big red flag and showed incredibly poor judgement. The guy can't throw at the NFL level...what are you thinking? Kind of knew it was doomed there.
Again instead of hiring a proven veteran coach they got a 1st time coordinator clown who peacocked in like Saleh and proved to be in over his head. and now they're just kicking the can down the road. If they draft a young QB in 2026 you're going to make sure he has to go through a coaching change right off the bat.
So they can fire him in 2027?
Firing Glenn would basically send a message that basically whoever takes the Jets job is basically going to get fired within 2 year
I agree, CS... if the Bears win big he should be gone, but I feel Love and the offense will find away this weekend. Both defenses are reeling but without turnovers, the Bears defense will stay on the field.
Both teams need to run the ball 30 times. I think Willis could come in and run some plays as well. Help the defenses as much as possible but being on primetime, we will probably get 80 passes in the air ...

Saleh got into year 4, Bowles got 4 full years, Rex got 6. Not sure if that's true...Glenn is a special case of ineptitude where 1 and done can be justified. And recently there have been some 1 and done's that have been absolutely the right move. Reich, Mayo, Lovie Smith, Nathaniel Hackett, Urban Meyer...
Wow ... Harbaugh is out in Baltimore. I didnt think it would happen but this team simply underachieves too much. Who could they replace him with? Tomlin, if he was embarrased in another playoff game?

One thing I learned (the hard way) in business is that before you fire someone you have (at least in mind) a successor who will be an improvement on the person you just fired.
Who does Bisciotti think he is going to find who will be an upgrade over Jim Harbaugh?
It looks like the Ravens might be interested in Minter from SD, who was once on Harbaugh's staff. They could show interest in Kubiak from Seattle as well. Who would have thought this team would win 14 games up there with Darnold?
One thing could be sure with the Harbaugh firing. Teams playing this weekend better be prepared and play hard for their coach, or Harbaugh could be in the owner's mirror ... I am thinking Pittsburgh, Buffalo and GB. Would an owner get rid of those coaches?
*And now, McDaniel is out in Miami. Another spot for Harbaugh, who I believe could go to GB or Buffalo, depending upon these playoff games. We will see ...

Tomlin out in Pitts ... go to another opening job or take time off?
I feel he will HC again in 2027.
If Tomlin chooses to coach in the NFL prior to 2027, the Steelers could seek compensation for him. The team still has his rights since he stepped down prior to the expiration of his contract.
