not a groundswell or anything but friends, family, a reporter pushing for HOF. Angle? 62 picks, only 3 less than Ken Riley. Was prediction a few years ago. We'll see where it leads,

Very similar career as Riley. Caught a lot of interceptions but light on the honors. I always go back and forth on "compilers" like this. The stats are so gaudy simply because he played for so long. BUT... he actually played for that long! At a consistent level. 3 or more INTs in 9 of his 11 Seahawks seasons is notable.

I’m biased of course being a Seahawks fan but I say Dave Brown had at least a Hall of Very Good caliber career.

This situation felt inevitable, and a lot of us read the writing on the wall when Riley became a finalist.

Tongue in cheek -- at least Dave Brown has more SB rings and pro bowls than Riley.

Helping Brown's case was a good to great pass rush from the Hawks led by Jacob Green, who has a case for the Hall himself.
A very talented 34 defensive end who had 119 sacks counting postseason. Light accolades though.

Not a good enough defense. Kenny Easley's already in as well as Largent, don't need a third player from a mediocre team.

Where do you all place Brown among senior CBs not in Canton? Who is ahead of him?

If there is support that results in Brown making the list of 50 senior semi-finalists and even to advance to the list of 25 senior semi-finalists that does not seem unreasonable to me, but seems a huge jump to expect he has support and resume to make the final 9-especially in a system where just 1 senior would seem to have any chance at all to be elected. And last two seniors elected had much stronger resumes and careers in 1980s/90s. Hard to see a path for Brown to jump many recent senior finalists with better resumes to election, a player likely few on the seniors BRP know very well and vast majority of voters would have any idea who he is-would be a hard sell, especially if 3 seniors still complete with coach and contributor who in 2027 could again consist of Bill B and Kraft
