Here's a matchup we somehow never got: Warren Moon vs. Randall Cunningham!

If the Dolphins would have gotten in that year, I think they would have done better against Dallas than the Raiders would have, providing that they can get past the Raiders and Broncos (I think they beat the Raiders, but the Broncos seemed to be a team of destiny in the AFC that year).saturdaysarebetter wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2026 10:49 am Cowboys-Raiders in Super Bowl XII instead of Cowboys-Broncos.
I agree ... I actually believe the Raiders would have beaten the Cowboys in New Orleans, had they gotten out of Denver even though the Cowboys were my team. The Cowboys had firepower but the Raiders secondary still had Willie Brown, Jack Tatum and rookie Lester Hayes. The Cowboys would have had no answer for Branch and Casper. The Raiders offensive line was better than Denver's as well. The only question was could the Raiders stop Dorsett?saturdaysarebetter wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2026 10:49 am Cowboys-Raiders in Super Bowl XII instead of Cowboys-Broncos.
I agree as the Raiders linebackers didn't have the speed to stay with Dorsett. The question is would Tom Landry have used Dorsett in the passing game to get him outside in space one-on-one with the Raiders linebackers?Brian wolf wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2026 11:19 pmI agree ... Agree completely. We never got Brady-Rodgers or Brady-Brees.Crazy Packers Fan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2026 12:09 am Patriots-Packers in the Brady-Rodgers era. Lots of years to pick from, nearly all of which are the Packers' fault for not reaching the big game. 2010 Pats lose to Jets in divisional round, 2011 Packers lose to the other New York team in the same round, 2014 Packers choke in NFC Championship Game, 2016 Packers lose everyone to injury in NFC Championship Game... yeah, Brady-Rodgers in the Super Bowl should have happened at least twice, and it never happened once in the big game.
