To Glen's credit ... I understand them trying to run the ball on 3rd down, but a play fake on 4th down might have gotten the first?

I didn't like the play call. 4th down and short and you are in shotgun and hand the ball off to a big running back with no momentum? If the QB is under center and he hands off to the back at least the back has some momentum built up.

The play calling on offense is not Glenn's fault. Letting Geno Smith slide feet first instead of diving forward after a scramble on 1st down after the long Breece Hall catch and run might be Glenn's fault for not coaching the QB to be more aggressive but maybe the blame there needs to fall more on Smith and Frank Reich.

The final drive in regulation was weird but I can understand the Jets letting the clock run. You could have a punt muffed again or you opt to not field it and possibly get possession in horrific field position. The way that whole thing played out, I would have called timeout at 11 seconds. Green Bay cannot try a Hail Mary then since if it fails then the Jets can run a play and call time out and set up for a long field goal. At 11 seconds Green Bay could try a long field goal on 4th down but probably would not risk a try. They probably would have punted. The Jets could have then tried to go all out to block the punt and don't even have anybody set to field it if the punt doesn't get blocked. If they don't block the punt, then the game goes to overtime.

I saw some people think it was egregious clock mismanagement by Glenn. I didn't see it as that. I was more annoyed with the end of the first half in the opener when the Jets let the clock expire when they had the ball at midfield.

As for the overtime decision to take the ball, people can argue about that till the end of time. There are valid arguments for both sides but the Jets hater people, many of which are actually Jets fans, go for the low hanging fruit of ripping Glenn for it. If you get the ball first and score and the other team matches, then you can win on the next drive. The Chiefs did that on Sunday night. If Glenn wants to do this he could say, "The Colts chose to not take the ball first in overtime and they lost because of it."

And week 3 gets off to a rip-roaring start in GB. Except its not the Packers but the lowly Falcons that decide to play football. I guess Penix was wise to finally decide to play, because the team rallied around him. Hard to win a game for GB when the team only has 9 total carries. They should be 0-3 ... Counting postseason, they are 1-7 in their last eight games.

Despite the Chargers defense forcing five turnovers, the Bills get the win at the Big Nickel. The Texans also start out 0-3 for the second straight year losing to the Colts. I lost money thinking they wouldnt do it again, as they are not the same offense without Nico Collins.

Huge upset for Washington, with the Steelers getting a good game from Rodgers to hold off the Bengals.

Titans had a chance to win in NY but Ward threw a bad interception into the endzone to give Winston a needed win. Can he hold off any challengers to the job if the team signs Jimmy Garappollo?

Rams-Broncos was an awesome game.

Though I think it’s possible that there was one interception that wasn’t called correctly on Nix’s game winning drive.
